Overview
Milleen Constructions was engaged to deliver the civil and structural concrete works for the Jemalong Solar Farm, a large-scale renewable energy project in New South Wales. The works provided the essential substation and civil infrastructure required to connect the 50 MW solar
farm to the national electricity grid.
Scope of Works
- Bulk earthworks and platform preparation for the substation
Reinforced concrete foundations, slabs, and plinths for high-voltage equipment and transformers - Installation of conduit systems and underground electrical infrastructure
- Precision reinforcement and formwork for large-scale structural slabs
- Coordination of works within an active renewable energy construction site under strict quality and safety requirements
Outcome
The project demanded efficient sequencing, robust environmental controls, and precision civil delivery. Milleen Constructions successfully delivered the substation civil works on time, supporting the commissioning of a solar farm capable of generating clean energy for tens of
thousands of homes.
