Overview
Milleen Constructions was engaged to deliver civil concrete and associated works for the new AWS Data Centre substation and switching station at Smeaton Grange. This facility provides the essential power supply infrastructure required for the operation of a major cloud services data centre, where reliability and resilience are critical.
Scope of Works
- Bulk earthworks, excavation, and site preparation
- Reinforced concrete foundations, plinths, and slabs for substation and switching equipment
- Extensive conduit installation and underground services trenching
- Structural blast walls and cable trench systems
- Roadworks, access pavements, and integration of civil works into a high-security site
