The construction of the Waratah Super Battery required the construction of a new transmission line to connect the battery to the existing Transgrid Substation nearby.
Milleen Group were contracted by Consolidated Power Projects to construct the foundations for the new monopole transmission towers. The foundations required 2.7 and 2.4m dia foundations up to 11m deep. These also required permanent steel liners to be installed. The site was also heavily contaminated with PFAS fire fighting chemicals that required sensitive management & disposal from site.
