Transgrid required the construction of 4x “Cruciform” Foundations on existing 330kV Transmission Towers.
The existing towers were originally built on the sides of the hills in the Mandalong valley. This required extensive earthworks and temporary works to ensure the stability of the towers in all weather conditions during the construction of the new foundations.
